Deep in the giggling glade of Sunnywood Forest lived a cheerful squirrel named Nibbles. Her fur was a patchy mix of golden brown and her eyes sparkled with curiosity. Nibbles had a special responsibility she was the guardian of the Giggle Tree, a magical tree that burst into giggles whenever someone tickled its bark.
The forest loved visiting the tree. Birds sang around it, foxes played beneath it, and even the butterflies fluttered in rhythm with its giggles.
One morning, Nibbles noticed something odd the Giggle Tree wasn’t giggling. In fact, it made a strange sound.
“Hic… hic… hic!”
“Oh dear!” Nibbles squeaked. “The Giggle Tree has the hiccups!”
She rushed to get help. Bunny tried hopping in circles, thinking it might entertain the tree. Robin sang her sweetest lullaby. Nothing worked.
Then tiny Ant piped up, “Maybe it’s just thirsty. Hiccups mean dry roots!”
They gathered dewdrops from flower petals and puddles, carefully dripping them at the base of the tree.
