High up in the quiet night sky, above the houses and trees, lived a tiny fluffy cloud named Lulu.
Lulu was the smallest cloud in the whole sky.
Every night, when the sky turned dark blue and the stars began to sparkle, all the clouds would stretch, yawn, and get ready to sleep.
“Goodnight, Lulu,” said Big Cloud Bob in a deep, rumbly voice.
“Sweet dreams,” whispered Soft Cloud Mia.
But Lulu just wiggled and puffed.
“I’m not sleepy,” she sighed.
She tried closing one puffy corner.
Then the other.
She counted stars.
“One shiny star… two shiny stars… three shiny stars…”
But the stars twinkled too brightly.
Lulu floated a little to the left.
Then a little to the right.
“I wish I knew how to fall asleep,” she whispered softly.
Just then, the gentle Night Breeze came by.
Whooooosh… swishhhh…
“Why are you still awake, little cloud?” the Breeze asked kindly.
“I don’t feel sleepy,” Lulu said. “Everyone else is resting.”
The Night Breeze smiled.
“Would you like to try my sleepy trick?”
Lulu nodded.
“First,” said the Breeze, “take a slow, soft breath in…”
Lulu slowly puffed in.
“Inhale…”
“Now let it out… sloooowly.”
Lulu gently puffed out.
The Breeze continued softly,
“Let your edges feel heavy… let your fluff feel warm… let the stars watch over you.”
Lulu felt her tiny cloud corners relaxing.
Her puffiness became soft and cozy.
The stars didn’t seem too bright anymore.
They felt like tiny night-lights.
“Again,” whispered the Breeze.
Lulu breathed in slowly.
And out slowly.
The moon glowed gently above her.
“You are safe,” the moon hummed.
“The sky is calm. The night is quiet.”
Lulu felt warm.
She felt floaty.
She felt… sleepy.
“Oh,” she whispered with a tiny yawn,
“I think it’s working…”
The Night Breeze wrapped around her like a soft blanket.
“Sleep, little cloud,” it whispered.
Lulu gave one last tiny puff…
And drifted into the sweetest dream.
Below her, children in their beds were also drifting off to sleep, wrapped in blankets, safe and cozy.
And high in the sky, the tiniest cloud slept peacefully among the stars.
Goodnight, little one.
Close your eyes.
Breathe in slowly…
And drift away like Lulu. 🌙✨
