Dotty was the liveliest duck in Dandelion Pond. Her quacks echoed through the trees and made everyone smile. She quacked when she played, quacked when she waddled, and even quacked in her dreams.
But one morning, Dotty opened her beak and… silence.
Not even a *peep*
“My quack It’s gone” she flapped in panic.
She tried singing, drinking warm pond water, even bouncing on lily pads. Her friends offered ideas: Frog handed her a reed whistle, and Beaver suggested writing her words down on a leaf. But Dotty missed her quack it felt like her joy had vanished.
One afternoon, she noticed a little duckling stuck in the reeds, too scared to swim back.
Dotty rushed over. She couldn’t shout for help, but she flapped and splashed until the others noticed. Together, they saved the duckling.
And in that moment when Dotty smiled with relief a loud QUACK burst out of her beak
The pond cheered.
Dotty’s voice had returned stronger and happier than ever.
