Max the Monkey and the Missing Banana

Max the Monkey woke up hungry.
“Time for my big yellow breakfast!” he cheered.
But when he looked in his banana bowl… it was empty!

“Oh no! My banana is gone!” Max gasped.
He raced through the jungle asking everyone,
“Have you seen my banana?”

Parrot squawked, “I saw something yellow… but it was my tail!”
Elephant trumpeted, “I saw something yellow… but it was the sun!”
Giraffe giggled, “I saw something yellow… oh wait, that was a flower!”

Finally, Max heard a small munch munch munch.
There was Squeaky the Squirrel… sitting in Max’s banana peel!
“Oops!” Squeaky said. “I thought it was for sharing.”

Max laughed. “Bananas are better with friends!”
And they split a bunch of bananas together for breakfast.

Moral:
Sharing makes everything sweeter (even bananas).
